Established in 2008, the Double Bay Partnership Inc. (DBP) is a public and private partnership dedicated to revitalising Double Bay. Funded by its members, the DBP's vision for Double Bay is a vibrant and attractive centre that offers a unique living, working and shopping experience within a pedestrian friendly and attractive urban environment.
The DBP brings together the resources of more than 600 businesses, which together employ more than 1,000 people and have a combined annual turnover of up to $300 million. Woollahra Council is an active partner, matching business funds dollar for dollar, up to the value of $200,000.
DBP's long term investment in the area includes research to identify trends and gaps in the retail offer, incentives for innovative start-up businesses, and an extensive program of events. Woollahra Council has also invested $5 million in streetscape upgrades, and will continue to roll out measures to improve the amenity of Double Bay.
The Board
The Double Bay Partnership is an Incorporated Association with an elected board that has authority over management activities. DBP's has a potential operating budget is $400,000, funded equally by private and public sectors. To date the annual budget has been $200,000

The DBP was formally registered with the NSW Department of Fair Trading in September 2008. Its operations are governed by a registered Constitution.
A management executive, known as the DBP Board, manages the day-to-day running of the organisation.
